Kyle Denning

I took art classes in high school and really enjoyed drawing and painting. Upon graduating from high school, I enrolled at BYU as an art major. After one semester, I decided I needed to find a way to make a living and ultimately graduated with a degree in accounting. During my business career, I put art aside, other than visits to art museums and shows whenever possible. In 2001, I received a set of oil paints as a gift and did a painting. Over the next several years did one or two paintings a year. While I still do some consulting, I am now essentially retired and free to pursue art once again. My favorite medium is oil painting and my goal is to do one hundred paintings over the next 12 months. My favorite subjects are people and portraiture….but I will paint anything that moves me. Painting is the most challenging thing I have ever done, and the most rewarding. I feel most blessed to be able to do the thing I enjoy most!
